SUBJECT: Final Acceptance of Demolition of Property Located at 41501 Button Drive (CP 22-378)
SPECIFIC REQUEST OR RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council accept the subject construction improvements (Demolition of Property Located at 41501 Button Drive -CP 22-378) and authorize staff to record the Notice of Acceptance with the County Recorder's office.
JUSTIFICATION OR INFORMATION
At the Council meeting of September 7, 2023, the City Council authorized an emergency demolition contract to Demo Unlimited Incorporated for the demolition of property located at 41501 Button Drive. The existing structures were found to be in poor condition and a safety hazard to the public by the City's Building Official.
The improvements were completed by Demo Unlimited Incorporated and have been inspected by Public Works staff and the Building and Safety Division. The improvements have been completed in accordance with the contract documents. The contract work was completed per the final approved contract amount of $82,038.97 with no contingencies. The project began on September 7, 2023, and was completed on November 6, 2023.

This Notice of Acceptance is executed under authority of a directive from the City Council of the City of Rancho Mirage .
