Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the March 7, 2024 (1:PM) Rancho Mirage City Council/Housing Authority meeting - Agenda Item: 6 (Public Hearing - Purchase/Sale Agreement) Dear City of Rancho Mirage Elected and Appointed members, This letter is in opposition of this organization disposing of real property for a non-public related element.

The private sector business of Porcupine Properties, LLC which is stated within the City's staff report is the party that has offered fifty Thousand dollars ($50,000.) For (0.231 acres) of City owned (Housing Authority) property near Whitewater Park (Community Park) and for CIty approved "Easement(s)" to allow for "Well Water" movement to serve private sector business of Porcupine Creek Resort within the Citys boundaries.

City staff report (dated March 7, 2024) stated that City Council members "directed" staff (General Counsel) at their September 7, 2023 City meeting to negotiate the sale of the above listed properties. It's alarming that elements of the City's staff report lacked clarity in regards to documented (recorded) actions of that September 7, 2024 City meeting.

Public disclosure of the actions of City Council/Housing Authority members were not made available and or factually verbalize to the general public at the September 7, 2024 City of Rancho Mirage Public meeting (Close session topics).

Public disclosure of this proposed Public property sale was not readily accessible to Rancho Mirage Residents and shouldn't be allowed to continue.

Surplus Government properties (City of Rancho Mirage real properties) need to be market in a open and transparent manner - and Public property next to sensitive areas (Parks /Open spaces) should first be entered for Public good (as in extension of Park space) or sold to other governmental agencies.

The property in question was stated to have "Very" little value to the Housing Authority - lets consider the City residents over possible connected entities with our local governmental representatives.

Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 [email protected]
