Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the March 25, 2024 (1:PM) City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting (Special Study Session) -Agenda Item: 1 (Discussion topic: additional amendment(s) to the Joint powers agreement (authority) JPA of the organization (Visit Greater Palm Springs tourism board) VGPS and potentially other non-listed aspect of City of Coachella membership into the VGPS -JPA and construction of non-profit status to shield members of legal culpabilities).

Dear current City Council members,
As this Board is aware, the unusual step of scheduling a special meeting to review a topic that could have been reviewed at a earlier scheduled Public meeting of this board and or at a future regular scheduled meeting is a clear abuse and misuse of political powers to potentially accommodate very few at the cost of the greater Rancho Mirage community. The intentional lack of transparency to not widely advised the new proposed administrative JPA amendments of the VGPS tourism organization should be considered an ongoing manipulation process of the Rancho Mirage City administrators {officials) to dictate policies without consideration from a majority of City Residents.

The established organization VGPS have been an avenue to fund certain elements of the Coachella Valley while being used as a political driver to support special Interests and eliminate non-participating aspects that don't have the resources to "pay to play" and or the political will to resist extremes such as forcibly dictating programs such as diversity, equity and inclusion (DEi) and other nonsensical narratives that have aspects of racism and diversion of the population.

Allow Rancho Mirage City Council meeting topics to be accessible and known to all City Residents in an open and transparent manner.

Sincerely,
Brad Anderson I Rancho Mirage, CA. I [email protected]
