PUBLIC COMMENTS
Brad Anderson, Rancho Mirage resident, expressed concerns regarding a special meeting being held and a lack of related documentation. He also submitted a written comment letter.
DISCUSSION ITEM
1. Visit Greater Palm Springs Update and JPA (Joint Powers Agreement) Amendment.
Mayor Downs provided a brief introduction of the subject item and introduced Scott White , Visit Greater Palm Springs (VGPS) President & CEO.
Mr. White introduced Colleen Pace , VGPS Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, and Davis Meyer, VGPS Vice President of Government & Industry Relations. The three representatives provided a general update on the progress of VGPS over the last year, which included a slideshow presentation with videos, and answered questions posed by Council Members .
Mayor Downs requested that City staff arrange for the new VGPS advertisements to be shown during an upcoming City Council meeting .
Mr. White reported that a revised Joint Powers Agreement amendment would be considered by the JPA Executive Committee at their next meeting .
