Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the October 03, 2024 City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting - Agenda Item: 4. (Consideration to subdivide property into separate properties with newly constructed walled community) Public Hearing
Dear current Elected and Appointed City Council members, It appears that this proposed new gated community will be nearby the City of Rancho Mirage recently approved (low Income community housing solution for Sacramento's requirements for additional homes/apartments). And would benefit greatly from the Citys ambitions to purchase (part ownership/power commitment) of a propose new IID substation.

This project may be the cause for rewriting the original design plans for the Citys new (lower income/workforce housing solution?)
This city resident currently has NO objections to the implementation of this proposal. I would like to remind the current Rancho Mirage City Council and associated staff. That in prior years and selected locations within the City boundaries - City Council declared that "gated communities" wouldn't be consider or approved within the City any longer. It appears that declaration on No more gated communities was only effective for that one development and No others?
Please strive to conduct City services and every proposal for future development with integrity and ethical standards that City residents would be proud of - Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
