Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the October 03, 2024 (1:PM) City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting - Agenda Item: 5.1 (consider options for filling city council member vacancy) Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, At the most recent City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting, council person (Meg Marker) resigned her elected city council seat during that Public meeting.

It was disappointing that the current Rancho Mirage rotating Mayor acted in such a dismissive matter during and after council person (Meg Marker) resigned her position.

It appears that filling that vacant city council seat does not involve calling a special City Council meeting for recommendations to fill that empty council position.

It's highly suspicious that No information was made available to illustrate "any" potential recommendations to "Consider Options for Filling City Council Vacancy" within the current City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting agenda packet (City of Rancho Mirage website/agendas) to date.

By not making any written recommendations within City documents (agenda packet). City officials have deny the public of any insight of how the City (legal counsel) will continue.

Please be advised, that the City of Rancho Mirage legal counsel (Steve Quintanilla and associates) recently had to abandon it's legal counsel advice for the City of Moreno Valley where that company (Steve Quintanilla and associates) currently contracts for their city as legal counsel. City legal Council had constructed council recommendations for a simlar situation where a council member untimely vacated their council position.

It's highly recommended to seek out other legal firms (Such as: Hensley Law Group) that the city is well associated with to continue with any City actions that may involve legal advice in regards to this matter.

Sincerely,

Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
