Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the October 03, 2024 (1:PM) City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting - Agenda Item: 6. (RMEA - newly proposed Incentives)
Dear current Elected and Appointed City Council members, As a current Southern California Edison (SCE) customer, and NOT a Rancho Mirage Energy Authority (RMEA) customer I would like to suggest that RMEA revisits their claim that saving natural resources is the chief concern of that authority. It's reasonable to consider that if the RMEA was mainly concerned over saving resources and cuting waste they would extend any and all cost saving / planet saving measures to ALL Rancho Mirage Resident's and Businesses and not just RMEA member's.

Please, recount the several attempts that RMEA "Hijacked" my SCE account and cause unnecessary harm to my personal information (service account history). It appears that any changes to SCE accounts may cause RMEA to attack that SCE account and convert it over to a RMEA member's account with no prior notification to the original owner of that SCE account.

It appears that RMEA proposed Incentives are targeted to every household for a one time benefit (to be fair). Please consider that the current City Manager was assigned to control the operations of the RMEA by the then City Council. Of course the current Rancho Mirage City Manager recently received a mastive pay increase, and a City Council members complimented the city Manager for his work with RMEA and stated that's why he deserves the increase in pay.

Which questions why the City has installed a new assisted city manager shortly after disbanding several city employees (elimination of a City Department)? Please monitor the RMEA operations very closely, don't allow it's transparency to be comparable to Desert Community Energy Commission (DCE) that have mastive amounts of uncertainty with it's financial future.

Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 cc:
