Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the October 03, 2024 (1:PM) City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting - Agenda Item:

Presentation - Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert (CDMoD) Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, Having been victimized by a next-door neighbor for over a decade with threats towards my pets and property. And having to endure ongoing relentless harassment that included false complaints directed towards my property and person - has drained my complete enjoyment and feelings of safety within the City of Rancho Mirage, Riverside County California.

The neighbor in question (self proclaimed artists) have contracted with CDMoD to display their precived art that was stated by the artist to be inspired by (Adult subject matter). It's been repeatedly demonstrated that my next-door neighbor (whichs operates their business from their residential address) has deep connections with donors that have influence over past and current City Council members which includes keeping CDMoD operational (even when not receiving any customers).

Another "Grant" of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) Was recently delivered from the City of Rancho Mirage to the CDMoD private non-profit organization. It's clear that CDMoD will remain dependent on the citys willingness to support that special Interest for evermore for what "real reason" is really not known by the general public to date.

It appears that CDMoD (private non-profit) has a governing body that a current City Council member was assigned to by Rancho Mirage City Council. It's alarming that those CDMoD board meetings are not accessible by Rancho Mirage resident's (or publicly known). Also City of Rancho Mirage (Current City Manager) forwarded - allowing CDMoD financials to be invested (held in City accounts) which was claimed to be an avenue for CDMoD funds to increase at No cost to that organization. But common sense would dictate that city resources would be used to manage those CDMoD funds at a direct cost to city resources.

Please remember that the CDMoD Rancho Mirage campus have received numerous donations (funds/building equipment ect...) over the many years of it's exsisted within the City of

Rancho Mirage. It's also worth noting that CDMoD campus has a total of two (2) communication tower's (cell phone antennas) that generates financial resources (lease agreement) for CDMoD.

It's reasonable to consider that CDMoD have fosterd a climate of exclusive accessibility to their campus/venue. It's recommended that CDMoD would benefit from relocating to another area of the Coachella Valley where more people would have easier access to their venue(s) and children with parents/grandparents could gain access at a decreased price, because of increase traffic (more visitors) because of location.

As long as current City Council members are willing to use everybody's money to support special Interests (CDMoD) - Rancho Mirage citizens will be disappointed by it's compromised elected /appointed officials.

Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
