Attention: Clerk of the Board / City Manager/ General Public Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the January 16, 2025 (1:PM) City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting - Agenda Item: Non- Agenda Public comment
Dear current Elected and Appointed City Council members, Please review my written statements listed below for potential furture reference and or potential Implementation.
It's highly recommended to reverse the December 19, 2024 (Agenda Item: 12) City of Rancho Mirage Councils radical Implementation of (titled: Action Minutes) from the long established Citys method of recording verbalize public testimony with (Summary meeting minutes) protocols that has been used within the City of Rancho Mirage and other governmental agencies throughout Riverside County, California.
It's reasonable to consider that City representatives have chosen to censor Public discord with the implementation of "Action Minute procedures" at Rancho Mirage precived open Public meetings held under it's authority.
Also, it's very likely that City officials have chosen to impose additional authority to the City Manager and other City officials in regard to subverting the City of Rancho Mirage Council from their duty of hearing and reviewing all City of Rancho Mirage Public Works Project completions. It's reasonable to consider that recent Highway resurfacing work (Country Club Drive) was aligned with the December 19, 2024 (Agenda Item: 13.1) City Council action to eliminate City Residents from their right to review the City of Rancho Mirage Councils open forum (Public meeting) to provide Public testimony (if they desire) of the work that was performed and the City resources (financial payment) that are requested to be released by City officials. It's worth noting that several complaints were received by City officials in regards to that major Street (Country Club Drive) project with absolutely NO response from City officials to date.
It's worth noting that City resource ($19,745.80) was recently expelled for a reported "Emergency" asphalt repair on Bob Hope Drive. Will details of that expense be shared with the the Public that financially support City services? Also, ($11,000.00) was released for concrete refinishing at City Hall (again) -
Please don't take any reprisal actions against my private property or person for reporting these opinions and documented facts.
Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
