Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the February 20, 2025 (1:PM) City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting - Agenda Item: 9.B (PUBLIC HEARING) proposed Resolution No. (NOT LISTED) approval of General Plan Zoning Map Amendment (GPZMA24-0001)
Dear current Elected and Appointed City Council members, Please review my written statements listed below prior to the consideration of agenda Item:
9.B (Amending the City of Rancho Mirage General Plan (GPZMA24-0001).
It's worth noting that the City of Rancho Mirage (City Council) have continued to impose major changes over the Citys General plan for a number of years. Thoses changes have impacted city resources and other undesirables Issues that arisen within the once great shared spirit of city of Rancho Mirage communities. It's reasonable to consider that neighboring properties near that proposed development have invested into those communities with the insight of the current land zoning designations. City residents and businesses deserve to have a level of concisely (no change) to the Citys constructed General Plan.
Having seen this type of development attempt enter the Citys boundaries in prior years. It's reasonable to consider that other locations may be best suited to have such a unique development build that doesn't required land zone designation changes made for its construction (delivery).
It's worth noting that (Priviere Villas) Palm Coast Modular, plans to assemble (28) residential lots with Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU's) that required a mojorty of work to be performed off-site (Mexico) and delivered to the proposed site(s) with an extended period of time for those unit's to be assembled (delivered).
Its reasonable to consider that any cost savings of the proposed building type (Modular) housing will not be presented in the Rancho Mirage proposed development (Priviere Villas).
It was listed that their would be two (2) points of access to that 10.08-acre project site, with one (1) "Primary access point to that development.
Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
