Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the March 6, 2025 (1:PM) City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting - Agenda Item: 2. (Construction of unnumbered Resolution to vacate Public lands - for development (Cotino)) Dear current Elected and Appointed City Council members, Please review my written statements listed below prior to the consideration of agenda Item:

2. To proceed with summary vacationing of approximately 0.181 acres of excess public service easement within the Cotino development of Rancho Mirage, California.

Position: In favor
It's critical that unused service easements be retained by individuals (property owners) that have a legal and moral obligation to protect and care for that property forevermore.

It's worth mentioning, that other governmental agencies such as the city of Palm Desert, California have taken radical political maneuvers to reduce and or eliminate street vacations within their city boundaries. Recently that City Council had city officials (staff) construct a resolution to burden residents that wish to request a street vacation near their properties.

Thoses city imposed burdens were construted to cause financial distress to the potential beneficiaries of street vacations along with avenues to restrict selected properties from ever being available to be vacationed in the future. It's reasonable to consider that such radical political maneuvers maybe rescinded by newly "elected" city council members. But it's note worthy that selected political driven city council members (Kelly) were not reinstalled potentially because of that and similar situations that they were drectly involved with.

Please consider that Rancho Mirage City Council members have demonstrated that potential unlawful actions (conflicts of interest) may still be in effect in regards to the development (Cotino) and their investment (involvement) within that project and their commitment to our region of California as (elected officials) and their obligations to their political position.

Sincerely,

Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
