Re: Written comment in regards to Agenda Item: 3. (Non-Agenda public comment) Dear current Elected and Appointed City Council members, Please review my written statements listed below for reference and or potential Implementation.
1) It's critical that fair and open election be made available to select from desirable candidates to fill an elected city council position that was subverted from public involvement (2024-25) by then current City Council members (rotating Mayor)
2) It's critical that "Brief Description Summary Formatted Meeting Minutes" protocols be reinstalled to record All City conducted public meetings. Censorship techniques constructed by city representatives should be abandoned (titled: Action Meeting Minutes procedures) 3) It's critical that City conducted public meetings be made available through media networks (plantforms) that allow interactions between different parties (allowing citizens the opportunity to remotely attend public meetings conducted by the City) 4) It's critical that transparency of City Council members actions (such as: commissioner selections/presentation selections) be openly discussed and voted over in open session (Council meetings) for public display
5) It's critical that transparency be detailed of how the city have misused it's authority to install and purchase Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR's) and (LPR's) Devices for potentially targeted surveillance of city residents.
6) It's critical that transparency be detailed of the ture intention of having city volunteers and ALL city appointees submit to a Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation (Live Scan) that ONLY allows the contracted city Manager access, which city resources financially support and city held records are denied to the public
7) It's critical that City Code Compliance Department employees be un-weaponze against private property owners (residents) that may not share current City Council members desires
to promote and support selected Individuals and or organizations that appear to have unfriendly/demented family values and/or destructive ambitions. 8) It's critical that City resources be managed appropriately, and NOT given away to City of Rancho Mirage Council friended "Special Interests".
9) It's critical that all City concluded contracted projects return for City Council approval. It's reasonable to consider that potential corruption activities may surround unmonitored projects/city administrators that expel city resources without city council and public oversight.
10) It's critical that City Council members refrain from unnecessary (defamatory) comments in regards to public speakers during city council meetings. Including unnecessary extreme measures of force removal of a senior citizen from council chambers (March 6, 2025 City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting - Non-Agenda Public comment) Please consider the above listed suggestions - and consider another avenue to better serve the residents of this once great City (example: resign city council held position) Please don't take any reprisal actions against my private property or person for detailing how the current City of Rancho Mirage Council have allowed for mastive uncertainty which engulfed many residents wellbeing.
Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 | [email protected] Cc:
