Re: Written comment in regards to Agenda Item: 6C. (Proposed "Strategic plan" - cost:
$135,000)
Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, It's highly recommended to abandon the motivation to potentially accommodate expelling city resources (already and future budgetary funds) to private sector business of: Natelson Dale Group, Inc. (TNDG) In the proposed financial amount of ONE HUNDRED THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($135,000.00).
It's reasonable to consider that such data collection services will be redundant and decrease overall efficiency. It's highly likely that this proposal, if granted will financially support selected Individuals (City Council members) with their private sector businesses and potential connections.
Allow organizations (such as: Visit Greater Palm Springs tourism board) continue to use their massive resources to arrive at the same conclusion that would be discovered with (TNDG) findings if employed.
Please reconsider misusing city collected dollars for potential political maneuvers (special Interests) for services that clearly are redundant. The city would have easy access in obtaining simlar information (data) from already established partnerships (If desired).
It's worth noting, similar requested funding was mentioned from the current City of Rancho Mirage appointed City Clerk (K. Ramos) to fund a local election process for a vacate City Council member position. Please remember that City Council openly stated that the cost was to great. It's reasonable to consider that the City of Rancho Mirage governance was compromised by yet to be fully discovered element(s) in that radical political maneuver to deprive city residents from their "Right" to select their "Elected" representative.
Please don't take any reprisal actions against my private property or person for reporting this true and accurate summary of concerns and opinions.
Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
