Re: Written testimony in regards to Agenda Item: 6A. (Soild Waste and Recycling Collection and Disposal Rates - Burrtec Waste and Recycling services) Dear City of Rancho Mirage,
As a recent Burrtec Waste and Recycling services ratepayer - and having received lackluster performance, clearly after submitting and providing public "PROTEST" testimony and written statements during the most recent Burrtec Waste and Recycling services contract for city-wide collection and disposal services were installed. It's worth noting, that other undesirable Issues were being installed and or continued at other Burrtec contacted organizations (City of Palm Desert / Riverside County) with regards to mastive rate increases that were hidden from ratepayers and other rate increases that were imposed.
It's reasonable to consider that City of Rancho Mirage Resident's and Businesses will continue to pay more for less services. While city government will continue to receive a mojorty of collection and disposal services as a "FREE PERK" form the private sector business of Burrtec Waste and Recycling services at ratepayers expense.
It appears that this years increase in rates will be (2.61%) compared to privous years increases of (5.%) to ratepayers. But, the city of Rancho Mirage have decided to increase costs to residents with an additional surcharge to total (3.7%) "adjustment" for standard service (Burrtec).
Please be advised, that the City of Rancho Mirage refused to wait to impose increases in rates to city residents. City officials installed by governmental dictate highly costs for reduce services to collect and disposal of garbage and recycling items. Other State of California governmental agencies have yet to join the progressive program (SB 1383) that Sacramento representatives have imposed upon the population.
It's worth noting, that my Involment with the private sector business (Burrtec Waste and Recycling services) was/is been disheartening and very concerning. Not unlike the City of Rancho Mirage that private company (Burrtec) continue to impede on my enjoy of my private property with falsehoods and miscommunications.
It's highly recommended that other residents seek expert advice (legal services) when involved
with City of Rancho Mirage and or their subcontractors (Burrtec) in regards to services.
Please don't take any reprisal actions against my private property or person for reporting this true and accurate summary of concerns and opinions.
Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
