Re: Written letter to be entered in the public record in regards to agenda Item: 8. (NON-
AGENGA PUBLIC COMMENT)
Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, During the July 17, 2025 City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting council member (Downs) spoke about subject's that appeared to have hurt his feelings during prior public comment periods. One subject was in regards to close session meetings and suggestion made to the legislative body for added transparency and to avioded the appearance of wrongdoing by the current City Council and it's (Contracted?) City counsel (Steven Quintanilla and associates).
Mr. Downs appeared to have misunderstood/misrepresent what was said in regards to close session meeting proceedings and suggestion ttohat were made to improve how the city of Rancho Mirage currently conduct their close session meetings.
It's alarming that one self-proclaimed city official (Downs) have appointed himself to represent the city council while clearly speaking disinformation/misinformation to community members. It's highly recommended that Mr. Downs conduct himself in an professional manner while representing city Interests and avoid the potential likelihood of using city resources to benefit his own personal Interest(s).
Please avoid any further reprisal actions against my private property or person for reporting this true and accurate summary of concerns and opinions.
