RE: Sponsorship of Rotary Event at Omni Las Palmas — November 15, 2025 I am honored to present you a sponsorship opportunity which I hope you will embrace and support. I am Ricardo Loretta, Past District Governor and current Finance Chair for Rotary District 5330, which encompasses all of Riverside and half of San Bernardino counties. This covers 60 Rotary clubs, 15 of which are in Coachella Valley.

On November 15 we are hosting a Gala "Rotary Means Business" fundraiser at Omni Las Palmas in Rancho Mirage, an event which will draw 250 to 300 attendees. A key mission for this event is to raise funds for a first ever "Camp BIZ" project, to be held in Spring 2026. This will be 2 night/3 day training for 40 or so 11th grade students in matters relating to BUSINESS. It is a concept which fellow Rotarians in San Diego have run successfully for over 40 years (they call their event "Camp Enterprise"), and we are lucky that one of the organizers of those events now lives in Coachella Valley and will be helping us. In addition to participating in a business challenge where teams develop a business concept and craft a business plan, including product design, marketing strategy, financial projections and organizational structure, students participate in interactive workshops and guest speaker sessions. The camp culminates with a Shark Tank type competition before a panel of judges composed of local business leaders and Rotarians, people like you.

Beyond the competition, students gain real world exposure to entrepreneurship and leadership, build critical skills in communication, collaboration and problem -solving, develop an appreciation for community service and responsibility, core values of Rotary. Many students go on to pursue business studies and leadership roles in entrepreneurial settings as a result of this experience.

The cost of a camp like this, including housing, meals, materials, transportation, and other costs will run about $500 per student. If our Gala Event on November 15 is successful, we hope it will generate a surplus that will not only fund Camp BIZ but will also permit a contribution of $25,000 or more to Rotary's legendary 40 year old FIGHT AGAINST POLIO, which we believe is close to being concluded.

Our hope, wish and request from the City of Rancho Mirage is that you consider taking on EVENT SPONSOR role, at a level of $25,000.

I will be happy to review this proposal with whomever is appropriate at the City of Rancho Mirage, and look forward to further discussion. Many thanks for your kind consideration.
