Attention: Clerk of the Board (K. Ramos)
Re: Written testimony in regards to Agenda Item(s): 5.A. / 2. (2025 - State of the City event) Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, Please review my written statement listed below prior to the consideration of agenda Item(s): 5.A. / 2.

It remains clear that city officials desire to cloud transparency of city operations with the very unusual measure of calling a special meeting of multiple boards that the current City Council claims to represent at different venues. And then having city council assemble at 9:30AM at city hall with the intention to quickly RECESS and then RECONVENE at 11:30AM at a different location (Omni Las Palmas - 41000 bob hope dr.) It's reasonable to consider that city officials will continue to cause distrust of city residents in regards to city operations. Please be advised that having a requirement that potential meeting partispates submit written request(s) to speak on meeting agenda topic(s) at one meeting location. And having thoses items considered by that body at a secondary location is a radical political maneuver. It's reasonable to consider that city officials desire to limit Public participation at city events (public meetings).

Please be reminded that during the 2024 City of Rancho Mirage "Special Study session meeting" (October 10, 2024 - State of the City event) when city officials still retained "some" ethics and recorded "mostly" accurate written meeting minutes of there official public meeting(s). This city resident attend that "very brief meeting" and provided verbal testimony. But another city resident was "stricted" from being recorded by city officials within written meeting minutes of that proceeding.

It's reasonable to consider that eliminating the recording of verbalize public testimony (written meeting minutes) during city public meeting(s) WILL allow the current City Council members an unprecedented advantage over furture political opponents.

It appears that the current City Council (and it's administrative staff) have rigged the system (elimination of recording public testimony in the official public record) potentially an attempt to remain in their current political position(s) as long as possible while censoring the general

public that may desire to participate with Public testimony during City of Rancho Mirage public meetings.

Please don't take any reprisal actions against my private property or person for reporting this true and accurate summary of concerns and opinions that were expressed.

Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
47th District Assembly member
