Attention: Clerk of the Board
Re: Written testimony in regards to Agenda Items listed below Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, Please review my written statements listed below prior to the consideration of each agenda Item as listed.
1) Agenda Item: 1.C. (Roll Call of City Council members) Please consider a verbal announcement that would detail that council member "Fromberg Edelstein" was appointed by other city council comrades at the expense of allowing Rancho Mirage citizens the opportunity to select from desirable candidates through a fair and open election for that position. 2) Agenda Item: 2.A. (unique and unusual political maneuver/ presentation (Ritz-Carlton)) Life saving measures performed by any individual (company employee) should be recognized by their employer (Organization). It's unusual that this meeting agenda appears to be over saturated with Items related to a private sector business (Ritz-Carlton). It's reasonable to consider that city officials desire to caterer to select business Interests for self enrichment endeavours (influence -promotional opportunity).
1 3) Agenda Item: 3. (Council member comments/reports)
Please relocate this agenda item near the end (conclusion) of meeting agenda(s). It's reasonable to consider that un-agendized Items (such as un-agendized subject matter/Videos) are time consuming and a diversion from "true" city business.
Please be reminded of how city officials moved general Public Comment from the beginning of city meetings towards the end of those public meetings without proper notification to city residents of that radical political maneuver to potentially disenfranchise public involvement during California State public meetings held under the citys authority .
Similar actions to aline with the citys radical political maneuver to relocated agenda items without public involvement should be followed by city council for their unregulated comments and self-serving political propaganda statements performed during City Council Comments/Reports. 4) Agenda Item: 5.C. (December 18, 2025 -City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting minutes) Position: In Opposition
City officials refused to record verbal testimony given during Non-Agenda Public comment.
Censorship techniques were potentially used by city officials to discriminate against selected Individuals (limitations on free speech) Its reasonable to consider that current City Council members will benefit from dictating that public testimony be denounced (through censorship techniques) of city officials related to recorded written meeting minutes of city controlled public meetings. 5) Agenda Item: 7.A. (Proposed annex/ to community facilities district No. 1, proposed Wildlife Discovery Museum proposed project)
Position: In Opposition
It's clear that my stated opposition to this proposal doesn't matter to city officials, But, it's reasonable to consider that Community Facilities District No.1 impacts most of Rancho Mirage properties. The additional impact from unrealistic growth of the unique Community Facilities District No. 1 will affect other areas that are currently served by that district.
It's reasonable to consider that city instruments such as surveillance devices (ALPR's/Cameras) that use city resources (electric/ Infrastructure placement) are connected to infrastructure elements that Community Facilities District No. 1 maintains. Clearly city officials are aware that resources (power) used by (ALP R'S) have been and are currently billed to residents and businesses without their consent or knowledge.
6) Agenda Item: 8. (Non-Agenda Public comment)
A) Please openly report (verbal testimony) during city council meeting of the December 2025 underreported "Special Contribution" of THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000.) To the private sector business of Children Discovery Museum of the Desert (CDMoD). It remains clear that CDMoD has an 2 unusual political connection to Rancho Mirage City Council members and (chamber of commerce) that city of Rancho Mirage resident's are unaware of.
B) Please reconsider having city council review ALL public work projects that have been completed. The recently completed road repair of Highway 111 and also Country Club Drive road work were NOT brought to city council for review. It's reasonable to consider that city officials desired to hide from any public accountability of poor contracted vendor work and performance. C ity officials decided to eliminate public opinion (verbal and written testimony) that may be submitted during City of Rancho Mirage Council meetings in regards to vendor contracted work.
C: January 14, 2026 is the date that road repairs were completed at:
Cypress Lane and Palomino Lane. It was understood that January 7, 2026 was the agreed upon date of completed road work at that location.
It 's very concerning that project will replace one (1) residential property with four (4) new residential homes. But, having an open hole and lane closure well within Cypress Lane for an unreasonable amount of time is extreme.
(Photos taken will documented numerous days of having an open pit on a traffic roadway with little safeguards for public safety).
D: Please be advised that City of Rancho Mirage officials have been notified of traffic signals being manipulated to upset normal traffic patterns/flows throughout the city .
E: Please be reminded of prior public statments in regards to the poor condition of city streets/sidewalks cleanliness. It's reasonable to consider that city officials have reduced it 's workforce (city employees) in an attempt to gain additional financial resources for wasteful administrative spending (Assisted City Manager position) and other undesirable endeavours.
Please refrain from any "additional" reprisal actions against my private property or person for reporting this true and accurate summary of concerns and opinions expressed.
Sincerely,
Brad Anderson 137043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
