We're excited to share information about Desert Rodeo, a dynamic new 3 -day Pro Rodeo - festival event returning April 24-26,2026, at the beautiful Desert International Horse Park in Thermal, California. Desert Rodeo is the newest regional festival poised to continue growing our valley's robust tourism and delivering a event that honors the valley's agricultural origins.
Blendingtraditional Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)-sanctioned rodeo competition with a modern festival atmosphere, Desert Rodeo features Western lifestyle experiences, shops, food and beverage offerings from national sponsors, local businesses and activities for all ages. Daily rodeo competition includes crowd -favorite events such as team roping, barrel racing, bull riding and NEW this year, mutton busting which is sheep riding by children.
In addition to showcasingworld-class rodeo action, Desert Rodeo partners with local organizations like the Desi Strong Foundation, Variety Children's Charity of the Desert, and Golden Circle of Champions to raise awareness and funds for children battling pediatric cancer, demonstrating a commitment to community impact beyond entertainment.
