Subject: Request for Correction/Clarification to Minutes — February 5, 2026 (Item 2A SunLine Transit Presentation)
Dear City Clerk,
I am writing to respectfully request a correction or clarification to the official meeting minutes for the Rancho Mirage City Council meeting held on February 5, 2026, specifically under Agenda Item 2A (SunLine Transit Presentation).
During that item, I (Michael Harrington) provided public comment regarding the status of SunRide, including its relevance to Rancho Mirage and the importance of expanded on -demand rideshare options such as the $3 service model.
The minutes as currently written do not reflect that I spoke on this item.
Since the minutes serve as the official public record, I respectfully request that they be updated to accurately reflect my participation and the subject of my comment.
This is particularly important because I have been advocating for expanded local transit and SunRide-style service throughout 2025 through communications to the City Council, letters to the editor, and through my role on a County citizen advisory committee.
