Re: Written testimony in regards to Agenda Item: 7.A. (Annual Appointment to Boards and Commissions)
Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, Please review my written statement prior to the consideration of agenda Item: 7.A.
Position: In Opposition
as this unique and unusual political body is well aware, the annual city council's appointments to its constructed sub-committees (Boards and Commissions) lack transparency of that procces.
City officials (city clerk) refuses to allow public disclosure of submissions (applications) of various boards and commission candidates that were received in a timely fashion.
Nominations for appointments by city council has no known guidelines that illustrates policy and procedures for selections of candidates for city assigned board and commission positions.
It's reasonable to consider that city controlled boards and commissions have predefined criteria that favor known candidates (friends and or donor's of city council).
All submitted applications are public records and should be available within City documents related to this agenda topic. "Hidden" city received sub-committee appointment applications from public disclosure - has shown that city officials (governance) have bacome compromised (unable to trust actions/statements of city of Rancho Mirage officials).
Please be advised that any further reprisal actions against my private property or person for
reporting this true and accurate summary of concerns and opinions will be shared.
