Re: Written testimony in regards to Agenda Item: 2.B. (Presentation - another unnecessary financial expense to support special Interests titled: DO THE RIGHT THING) Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, Please review my written statements listed below in regards to issuing city resources to another City Council person's special Interest project.
It's reasonable that organizations such as "Do The Right Thing" had/has good intention to promote children self-worth. But, it's also very reasonable to consider specialized organizations such as "Do The Right Thing" that target selected Individuals (youngsters) are aware of the predatory aspects that may accompaniment collecting children names and addresses and published their likeness in the public domain.
It's reasonable that private sector (potentially private non-profit) organizations such as "Do The Right Thing" are heavily funded by governmental agencies that seek NO known public disclosure of funds to supply non-profits (special Interests) of operating financial resources (including administrative spending).
Partners such as local community law firm (that have potential conflict of interest aspects associated with many services that are claimed to be allied with public safety and community support). Plus, the involvement of law enforcement agency official that have shown an overly progressives stance towards political driven avenues along with thousands of dollars being collected with No known PUBLIC oversight of the private group (Do The Right Thing).
It's highly recommended that organizations such as (Do The Right Thing) and it's administrative staff declare that ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) of collected dollars will be directed towards each targeted child that received "resources" from it's authority.
Public funds should be recognized and recorded accurately along with resources (Proclamations and presentation costs) used to support special Interests from actions of city officials.
Please consider ethical standards if reprisal actions are taken against my private property or person for reporting this true and accurate summary of concerns and opinions.
Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
