Attention: Acting (Appointed) City Clerk of the Board
Re: Written testimony in regards to Agenda Item: 8.C.- Proposed Initiation of an ASSESSMENT DISTRICT (Vista Del Sol Street/Waterline infrastructure - #31-26) Position: In Opposition (as presented)
Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, Please review my written statement prior to the consideration of agenda Item: 8.C.

Simply, community members of the Vista Del Sol area are entitled to request and seek out avenues to improve their piece of Rancho Mirage. Not long ago - Coachella Valley Water District was commissioned by city government to improve aspects around that location with resources provided by near-by developers (section 31) and city funds. Also property was "vacationed" to selected projects that were able to lobby and finance that type of property improvement.

Concerns of public collected dollars being expelled ($706,729.00) "In In-kind and cash contributions towards the proposed ($5,047,506.00) project for a stated "PUBLIC BENEFIT" should be reexamine. It's highly recommended that if city officials are anticipating using methods (Gas Tax or Measure A funds) other desirables avenues should be reviewed by affected property owners to seek out private sector companies that would manage and construct the desired work and forevermore maintenance.

Currently having city officials consolidated and collect sizeable benefits from this proposal is alarming to individuals that montior the on-going operations of Rancho Mirage City government.

It's reasonable to consider that the proposed improvements may benefit selected Individuals that may or may not be involved in city government. It's reasonable that potential investigational aspects be aligned to identify if unethical behaviors may surround this proposal and others that are simlar in nature.

Please refrain from any reprisal actions against my private property or person for reporting this true and accurate summary of concerns and opinions expressed.

Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
