To - K Ramos, Clerk of City
FOR; Rancho Mirage City Council Non-Agenda Public Comment Anonymous citizen concerned about the appearance of a longstanding personal association between Assistant City Manager Ryan Stendell and nonprofit founder Shay Moraga, in light of the City’s recent $25,000 grant to Ms. Moraga’s nonprofit organization.
Attached is a screenshot from Mr. Stendell’s public Facebook page showing one example of a public post identifying Shay Moraga by name among friends and participants in a recurring fitness group, illustrating that their public association predates the City’s award of the $25,000 grant. This is offered solely as an example of a relationship that may warrant public transparency and appropriate review.
Thank you for your consideration.

Thank you in advance for confirming receipt.
I would like to add that the comment is intended solely to raise concerns regarding the City’s grant-award process and public accountability. It is not intended as a criticism of Ms. Moraga or her nonprofit, and I mean no disrespect to either. The concern is with the City’s process and the disclosure of apparent relationships when public funds are awarded.
I appreciate the City’s attention to questions concerning the grant-award process.
