Re: Written testimony in regards to Agenda Item: 6.A. (PUBLIC HEARING) Historical building recommendation (APN: 689-210-022, "Lord Fletcher Inn") Dear current elected and appointed City Council members, Position: In Opposition
As this political body is aware of "Lord Fletcher Inn" long established history of conducting business within city boundaries along with knowledge of past management individuals associated with that business.
Of course the recent reconstruction of that vacat business (70385 Hwy 111) is usually the course of action before seeking a "Tax-Avoidance" technique such as City of Rancho Mirage operated "Historical preservation (type) of designation would help secure for that "private" sector business.
Please be reminded of special considerations from city officials (city council) to financially support that business over the years.
Please consider the many priorities of private property owners throughout Riverside County (City of Rancho Mirage). Those types of priorities are to pay-there-fair-share and not be subjected to financially supporting friends of friends (that may be involved with city officials). Of course the two tier system to obtain drectly avenues of avoidance of paying property taxes are easily accessible (but unethical if performed in a morally questionable fashion) by parties involved.
Ideally having all real properties fairly assert and having those properties fairly contributing to a recognized ethical body would serve that community. But having "Carve Outs" (Mills Act misuses) and precived Museum constructed by "mysterious Individuals" really demonstrated how City of Rancho Mirage Governance have derailed good faith (Integrity) of who receives governmental support.
Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | 37043 Ferber Dr. Rancho Mirage, CA. 92270 Cc:
