BACKGROUND
August 29, 2024: Staff authorized SCE to install temporary power pole at Ladera Linda Park
September 3, 2024: City Council directed staff to continue processing the encroachment permit for SCE
March 4, 2025: 6-month extension approved
July 15, 2025: City Council agenda item was continued for 90 days to allow SCE more time to coordinate with Staff
September 16, 2025: City Council considered options for relocating the temporary power poles and selected an overhead option
6-month extension approved
April 7, 2026: Staff requested a 6-month extension (retroactive from March 16, 2026) through September 16, 2026
As of July 27, 2026: Plans, easements, and permits approved. SCE is scheduling the work to complete by September 16, 2026
