Code Enforcement Monthly Report – July 2026
Code Enforcement Program Update and Operational Enhancements

1. Restructuring Report Formatting
Code Enforcement has initiated updates to report formatting to improve clarity, consistency, and usability. The revised format is designed to standardize case documentation, making reports easier to review, track, and present for internal use, legal proceedings, and public records.

2. Revisiting Past Cases and Consolidating Files
Code Enforcement reviewed past cases to make sure records are accurate and complete. This included combining duplicate or incomplete files, updating case statuses, and organizing documents for easier reference. This work ensures that older cases have been properly addressed and closed.

3. Completion of Three-Year Case File Public Records Request Code Enforcement successfully completed a large-scale public records request involving three years of case files. This required extensive file review, and organization for approximately 313 individual cases.

4. Business and Apartment Inspection Influx
Code Enforcement has increased inspections related to mold and cockroach infestations throughout the city, as well as enforcement efforts addressing businesses operating without proper licensing.
