LETTER OF FINANCIAL COMMITMENT / MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING Soroptimist International of Red Bluff has proudly served and supported our community for more than 80 years. Now, we are looking to make a splash for the children of our community—A BIG SPLASH. Since the inception of The Big Splash Project in 2018, and through our partnership with the City of Red Bluff, Soroptimist International of Red Bluff has worked to raise funds and secure grant funding, including funding through the Proposition 68 RRT opportunity, to help make the Splash Park and other improvements at Red Bluff City Park a reality.
This letter serves as a Memorandum of Understanding and formal statement of financial commitment from Soroptimist International of Red Bluff (SIRB). For this phase of the project, SIRB is committed to contributing approximately $95,000, allocated as follows:
● $45,000 toward the Butterfly Shade Structure;
● $18,000 toward the fabrication of The Big Splash Steel Entry Sign; and ● $32,000 toward the Mosaic Tile Murals for the entry.
SIRB remains dedicated to supporting improvements to Red Bluff City Park and is committed to continuing its support of The Big Splash Project well into the future.
We would also like to recognize and express our sincere appreciation to the many donors, businesses, organizations, foundations, and individuals who have supported The Big Splash Project throughout its development.
Their generosity has already made a meaningful impact, allowing us to fund and construct a large shade structure at the south end of McGlynn Pool, secure benches and picnic tables generously purchased by Red Bluff Rotary for installation during this next phase of construction, and coordinate beautification efforts, including the recent mural refresh outside McGlynn Pool completed by Tehama County Arts Council member Toni Gaylord. These accomplishments have been made possible through the generous support of numerous individuals, local small businesses, fraternal organizations, local churches, and larger grants from the Community Foundation of the North State, Sierra Pacific Foundation, and Dignity Health Red Bluff.
The Big Splash Project is a true reflection of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared vision. Soroptimist International of Red Bluff is proud to be a part of this effort and grateful to the City of Red Bluff and the many community partners who have
helped move this project forward. We look forward to seeing The Big Splash become a lasting amenity for local children and families and to continuing our commitment to making Red Bluff City Park a vibrant, welcoming place for generations to come.
Sincerely,
Vici Miranda
