COMMITTEE MEMBERS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Per City Council direction, staff has prepared a Resolution that would amend the grounds for removal of General Plan Advisory Committee members. This agenda item allows for discussion and adoption of the Resolution.
BACKGROUND
At the November 2, 2021 City Council meeting, a referral was made to staff to prepare a discussion item on the status of the General Plan Advisory Committee’s remaining work efforts and to review the Resolution that established the GPAC to consider possible changes to the rules regarding removal of committee members.
Staff brought the discussion item to City Council on December 14, 2021. The City Council directed staff to return with a resolution that, if adopted, would add the ability to remove persons from the GPAC who have an unsatisfied judgement in excess of $100,000 against the member.
COORDINATION
The Resolution was prepared by staff in the Community Development Department and the City Attorney’s Office.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding for the preparation of this report is available in the Departments’ annual budgets.
