Bill,Have to run an errand. Will be back on Thursday night. Thanks 18:49:15 From Marti Navarro to Everyone:
If our city is forced to comply with the increase in housing, why will the majority be focused in NRB? Our schools are completely full. Parking is non-existent. Pollution will increase, smog, exhaust, trash, etc. Heading east towards the 405 is already extremely difficult for the morning commute. I am in district 3, near the area of Maryanne and Fisk. Heading east on 190th, 182nd and Artesia will ALL be directly impacted by the plan to build in these locations.
18:58:46 From Marti Navarro to Everyone:
The homeless pellet shelter has NOT improved the problem in the area. The unhoused that frequent the area around Lilienthal park, El Nido park, railroad tracks, has not improved. I personally feel there are more homeless sitting around the area of 182nd and Kingsdale, both parks mentioned and the surrounding neighborhoods. Children walking to the Washington elementary school, CDC and Adams Middle school deal with passing people that are at times yelling obscenities into the air. ALSO, the plan was to move after 6 months, that was last year and instead the council decided to LIE to the residents and have yet to relocate the shelter to South Redondo.
18:59:30 From Marti Navarro to Everyone:
The council's favoritism to South Redondo is clearly evident and foul! 19:02:41 From Zein Obagi to Host and Panelists:
Sorry you feel that way Marti. I don't think the District 4 residents do. We have a new dog run, and millions of dollars in improvement coming down the pipeline. 19:04:08 From Zein Obagi to Everyone:

Mr. Obaji, I recall a post in the Nextdoor app sometime last year where you attempted to applaud yourself for recent projects and similarly mentioned the joy you believe you have brought to your district, where you ran under false pretences. If you recall, there were hundreds of comments that were posted immediately to your post, and they were almost unanimously angry comments that disagreed with you. I am not sure that a dog run equates to the nightmare we will face with thousands of homes to be built, the overcrowding my children will face in schools, and the homeless we see and smell as we walk to school. /END
