Thank you for undertaking this strategic planning process and inviting the public to participate. I would like to express my support for more protected bike lanes throughout the city, in line with and even beyond the South Bay Bicycle Master Plan, to enhance and encourage non-car mobility. This would reduce traffic congestion and improve public safety. Additional bicycle parking in parks would also encourage families to bike instead of drive to cars. I also encourage the city to build more bioswales with native plants and permeable landscaping for stormwater retention which would align with environmental sustainability goals. There are rebates available through SoCalWaterSmart for turf replacement that cities can take advantage of. Thank you very much.
