A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING A 2021-
2022 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET MODIFICATION
APPROPRIATING $20,374 FROM THE AQUATIC CENTER
GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, DIVISION OF
BOATING AND WATERWAYS GRANT NO. C8966330 TO
THE CITY’S COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT
BUDGET FOR EXPENSES RELATING TO SAILING
PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS AND BOATING SAFETY
EDUCATION, EQUIPMENT, AND REPAIRS
WHEREAS, the City of Redondo Beach (“City”) applied for and was awarded $20,374 in funding from the California Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways, Grant No. C8966330 to enhance boating safety education, boating safety equipment and repairs; and
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a grant for $20,374 in funding from the California Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways; and WHEREAS, the purpose of this $20,374 in Grant monies is to provide scholarships and subsidies for the City’s boating safety courses and instruction and improve boating program safety equipment; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to review the adopted budget during the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City’s adopted budget needs to be modified to appropriate unanticipated revenue; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to appropriate the additional $20,374 in Grant monies to the City’s Community Services Department Intergovernmental Grants Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the amounts allocated in the budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 and the amounts required to meet conditions which have arisen during the budget year require a modification in the budget appropriation; and, upon recommendation of the City Manager, the budget appropriation as adopted for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 is modified as follows:
Twenty thousand, three hundred and seventy-four dollars ($20,374) from the California Department Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways, Grant No. C8966330 shall be allocated to the City’s Community Services Department RESOLUTION NO. CC-2203-013

Intergovernmental Grants Fund to provide scholarships and subsidies for the City’s boating safety education, equipment and repairs.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section 11(f) of the City Charter, the City Clerk is hereby directed and instructed to correct the budget records of said City for fiscal year 2021-2022 in accordance with the above modification.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
