Funds have been allocated for this project from the County CEO's Extraordinary Maintenance budget.
However, this funding allocation does not fully cover the anticipated project costs, therefore we're pursuing additional funding through the County's annual budgeting process and, if approved, the additional budget should be available October 2022. A notice to proceed has been issued to an engineering consultant to begin conceptual drawings, and we expect a final submittal from the consultant in September/October of this year.

My apologies for not getting back to you on this. I would like to have more information from them on a timeline for them preparing their plans and submitting the permanent application. I also would like for them to explain if they have funding available for the permanent work. That will give us more to go on in making the decision and explaining it to City Council, since those questions arose during my presentation on the first extension.
