A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING A 2021-
2022 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET MODIFICATION TO
APPROPRIATE $1,350 FROM AVAILABLE UNALLOCATED
GENERAL FUND BALANCE
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Redondo Beach (“City Council”) to review the adopted budget from time to time; and WHEREAS, the City of Redondo Beach’s adopted budget needs to be modified from time to time to appropriate monies from fund balances for necessary expenditures; and WHEREAS, on April 5, 2022, the City Council approved funding to provide Police Department traffic control services to support and secure a parade to celebrate the success of local youth sports teams; and
WHEREAS, there are available funds in the unallocated General Fund balance cover the costs for the event.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the amounts allocated in the budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 and the amounts required to meet conditions which have arisen during the budget year, require a modification in the budget appropriations; and, upon recommendation of the City Manager, the budget appropriation as adopted for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 is modified as follows:
One thousand, three hundred fifty dollars ($1,350) from the General Fund shall be appropriated to support the parade.
SECTION 2. That, pursuant to Section 11(f) of the City Charter, the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to correct the budget record of said City for Fiscal Year 2021-22 in accordance with the above modification.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
