RESOLUTION NO. CC-2207-047
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A CONTRACT
TO SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY, A DELAWARE
CORPORATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,611,206 FOR THE
RESIDENTIAL STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT, CYCLE 2
PHASE 3, JOB NO. 40190
WHEREAS, various residential streets within the City of Redondo Beach (“City”) need to be repaired and improved; and
WHEREAS, on April 5, 2022, the City Council of the City of Redondo Beach approved the Plans and Specifications for the Residential Street Rehabilitation, Cycle 2, Phase 3, Job No. 40190 (“Project”), and authorized the City Clerk to advertise for competitive bids; and WHEREAS, on May 19, 2022, bids for this Project were received and publicly opened in the City Clerk’s Office; and
WHEREAS, Sully-Miller Contracting Company, a Delaware Corporation (“Sully-Miller”), is the lowest and most responsible bidder for this Project, as more particularly described in the plans and specifications thereof, and incorporated herein by reference, and is awarded the contract for this Project in the amount of $4,611,206; and
WHEREAS, Sully-Miller shall provide all applicable insurances and bonds to the City for approval prior to the execution of the contract; and
WHEREAS, sufficient Capital Project Funds have been appropriated for this Project in the FY 2022-2023 Capital Improvement Project Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Redondo Beach, California, awards the contract for the Residential Street Rehabilitation, Cycle 2, Phase 3, Job No. 40190 to Sully-Miller, in the amount of $4,611,206 on the condition that all applicable insurances and bonds shall be provided to the City for approval prior to the Mayor executing the contract on behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
