In case I can’t join you tonight, I just brought my husband home from the hospital, I wanted to express my very strong support for returning the Historic Library for the free use and enjoyment to the people of Redondo Beach.
Refurbishment
I support spending public funds to restore the old library to reflect the original architectural and decorative designs.
Scouts
I understand the Girl Scouts of South Redondo Beach need a home base for their meetings. I support all the troops meeting at the old Library at no charge.
Food
I support having the old library being available to well qualified caterers to provide a variety of event choices for the public to engage.
Holding periodic afternoon teas would reflect the history of the old hotel and be very popular with the residents and guests.
Events
I support a variety of tasteful cultural and historic events be held at the old library.
