A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING TO CARRY
OVER THE UNEXPENDED BALANCE OF THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CARES ACT FUNDING FROM
FISCAL YEAR 2020-2021 TO FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022
WHEREAS, Section 17.10 of the City of Redondo Beach (“City”) Charter provides that after the adoption of the budget, any appropriations may be modified and/or transferred by the adoption of a resolution by at least four affirmative votes; and WHEREAS, the City has an unexpended balance in CDBG CARES Act Fund; and WHEREAS, the City desires to carry forward the unexpended balance from the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 CDBG CARES Act Fund to Fiscal Year 2021-2022 to support Pallet Shelter services; and
WHEREAS, these carryovers will in effect modify the budget appropriations for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The amounts allocated in the budget for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 and the amounts required to meet conditions which have arisen during the budget year require a modification in the budget appropriations; and, upon recommendation of the City Manager, the budget appropriation as adopted for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 is modified as follows:
$492,719.04 from the CDBG CARES Act Fund be carried over from the Fiscal Year 2020- 2021 budget and be appropriated to the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 CDBG CARES Act Fund to support Pallet Shelter services provided by the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section 11(f) of the City Charter, the City Clerk is hereby directed and instructed to correct the budget record of said City for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 in accordance with the above modification.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
