A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE WAIVER
OF PARKING METER FEES FOR THE AREAS OF THE RIVIERA
VILLAGE, SOUTH CATALINA AVENUE AND PEARL STREET
FOR THE 2022 HOLIDAY SEASON FROM DECEMBER 3, 2022
THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2022.
WHEREAS, the City of Redondo Beach Riviera Village (“Riviera Village”) has approximately 502 metered parking spaces; and
WHEREAS, the area of South Catalina Avenue and Pearl Street has approximately sixteen metered parking spaces; and
WHEREAS, for many years the City has provided free parking for approximately four weeks in these areas during the holiday season; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of allowing free parking is to express holiday goodwill and to encourage the public to shop and dine in these areas during the holiday season; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That for a period beginning December 3, 2022 through December 31, 2022 the parking meter fees in the Riviera Village, South Catalina Ave. and Pearl St. shall be waived.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same int eh Book of Original Resolutions.
