A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGE CONTROL ABC-OTS GRANT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE
CONTROL AND THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Redondo Beach (“City”) was awarded a grant from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (“ABC”) through the State Office of Traffic Safety (“OTS”) in the amount of $26,000; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be made available to the City for the period of October 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the receipt of past grant funding for similar police programs; and
WHEREAS, the City Police Department shall use the monies to provide police services to enforce alcohol related violations, as approved by ABC; and WHEREAS, ABC requires that the City Council adopt a resolution approving the grant agreement and authorizing the Mayor to execute the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Redondo Beach approves the 2022 State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control ABC-OTS Grant Agreement between the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, attached hereto as Exhibit A, and authorizes the Mayor to execute the grant agreement on behalf of the City of Redondo Beach.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
