The funding will be used to continue the purchase of mixed waste receptacles used to collect recyclables and refuse from the public in parks and on sidewalks. Due to the close proximity to the ocean the metal receptacles rust faster than normal and therefore causes the need to replace them more frequently. The receptacles will be labeled as mixed solid waste to ensure individuals understand the materials will be sorted and recycled. The funding will also be used for the procurement of one Water Refill Station in public park/recreational area.
