A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING FISCAL
YEAR 2021-2022 TRANSFERS BETWEEN FUNDS AND THE
APPROPRIATION OF $160,000 FOR THE OCTOBER 19, 2022
ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City is closing its books for fiscal year ended June 30, 2022; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to fund future CalPERS Pension and Employee Compensation and Benefit Reserve Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to fund future capital improvement projects; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to fund the October 19, 2022 Election.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The General Fund balance of $3,000,000 shall be transferred to the CalPERS Pension and Employee Compensation and Benefit Reserve Fund (Renamed CalPERS Reserve Fund).
SECTION 2. The General Fund balance of $1,000,000 shall be transferred to the Capital Projects Fund.
SECTION 3. The General Fund balance of $160,000 shall be appropriated to the City Clerk’s operating budget for the October 19, 2022 special election.
SECTION 4. That pursuant to Section 11(f) of the City Charter, staff is hereby directed and instructed to correct the budget records of said City in accordance with the above modifications.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and shall enter the same in the Book of Original Resolutions.
