2/7/23 CC J
City Council Members: (Date: 2/7/23)
My name is Vicky Oetzell. I live in District 3.
3 weeks ago, ALL council members voted 5-0 that
Mr. Horvath is a resident and did nothing wrong.
Mr. Obagi gave an entire presentation on the topic
and verbally said he thought Mr. Horvath is a
resident of Redondo Beach.
Early last week, Mr. Obagi took an endorsement
photo for a District 3 candidate that Christian
Horvath had sent in an email to his District 3
residents, posted it on Instagram and maybe
other social media sites, and this is what Obagi
did: He wrote over the photo: "SCAM ALERT: CM
Horvath committing voter Fraud. His Domicile is in
Torrance. Under Election Code 349, he must
register there." (Show the council the Obagi post)
Mr. Obagi, you are showing time and time again
where the toxic politics start. By having voted one
way, and then after the fact, posting this trash, you
are deceiving the residents in Redondo. We need
representatives that care more about the
community and not their own political ladder
climbing agenda. Your intention with this social
media post is misleading, divisive, and attempting
to have people question the outcome of the
election. This is the kind of backstabbing and
mixed messaging the toxic politics have created in
Redondo Beach.
Residents in Redondo and especially in District 3
have had enough of the games. Do your job, stop
with the online bullying and be a better example
for your children.
I am submitting this to the City Clerk for the record
with a copy of Obagi's posting
