Hello mayor, mayor pro‐tem, and city council,
I'd like to make the following comments in advance of the 2/14 meeting.

Item F.5: As a closed session item, I am only speculating on what this could be, but it looks like the city is interested in bidding on the AES site once again. I look forward to seeing what comes from this. If the city is able to purchase all or a portion of the site, I would like to voice my support for the city to build transit‐oriented and affordable housing at the site, along with natural resources and wetlands restoration. It can be done. Consider the CA Social Housing Bill, and examples of social housing in Vienna, Austria. Consider also the Senakw development in Vancouver by the Squamish tribe. There are many options for affirmatively furthering fair housing on this once‐industrial site.

Thank you for considering my comments.
