Thank You for Your Participation in the C Line (Green) Extension to Torrance Project in 2022
Metro has plans to connect more of the South Bay by extending the C Line (Green) from the Redondo Beach (Marine) Station to the new Torrance Transit Center which would bring light rail to the area. This extension will provide an alternative to congestion along the busy I-405 corridor and expand access to the region by connecting to the existing Metro Rail K (Crenshaw/LAX), J (Silver) and A (Blue) Lines.
Thank you to all who attended the Community Open Houses in Lawndale, Redondo Beach, Torrance, and virtually, and provided input on this project. If you were unable to attend, you can view the presentation, virtual meeting recording and project boards here.

Project Updates and Next Steps
As the year ends, our team is currently in the environmental review process, studying three potential route options through Lawndale, Redondo Beach and Torrance. Explore the alignments and options under consideration and learn more about light rail transit from the comfort of your home on the project StoryMap.
The Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is expected to be released in early 2023, which will disclose project impacts on the environment for the three alignments being studied. There will be a period for public review and comment when the Draft EIR is released. We will continue to provide you with updates on the project and opportunities for you to get involved.

Metro planea conectar más South Bay extendiendo la C Line (Green) a desde la estación de Redondo Beach (Marine) al nuevo Centro de transporte público de Torrance que traerá el tren ligero al área. Novedades sobre el proyecto y próximos pasos
A medida que finaliza el año, nuestro equipo se encuentra actualmente en el proceso de revisión medioambiental, estudiando tres posibles opciones de rutas a través de Lawndale, Redondo Beach y Torrance.
