Several Councilmembers attended activities at allcove Beach Cities. The record needs to reflect that the contract for allcove BC includes a service area of 1.4M people in all of SPA8. As such, our health district has been contracted to provide 91% non-resident services based on population and funding level. District residents should be concerned that District land, buildings, assets, management, staff and other resources are being allocated in a 10-to-1 fashion to non-residents in allcove. Per the july 1957 Superior Court pleading of the District, it was established for the benefit of the "residents who reside" in the District - not 91% non-residents.

As BCHD/PMB LLC and the City of Redondo Beach participate outside the public's view to prepare the HLC CUP, considerable expenditures are underway that likely reflect issues of public interest. This is at least the second payment to Rincon for work on the BCHD/PMB project. In order to reduce public records act requests, please publish the reports related to the preparation of the BCHD/PMB CUP from Rincon and the other consultants engaged in review and preparation.

I strongly oppose wasting money on this potential amendment. City residents elect their City Attorney, and they should retain this right. This is completely unnecessary.

Please don’t waste money on trying to appointing an attorney. It’s not fair to people and it needs to be an elected position. Let’s leave it alone. It sounds unethical.

This seems like a very bad idea and a complete waste of town funds. Having an elected city attorney takes the power to choose away from the people of Redondo Beach and seems very much like a power grab. I strongly oppose this move.
