LA Metro is bringing light rail to the South Bay by extending the Metro C (Green) Line from the Redondo Beach (Marine) Station to the Torrance Transit Center Station. This extension will help relieve traffic congestion and expand passenger access in the City of Torrance and surrounding communities.

In the coming months, the Metro Board will decide what route the light rail will take through Torrance. As part of the process, Metro has prepared a Draft TORRANCE Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to study the options.

The Torrance City Council unanimously supports the plan to keep the light rail line on Metro's Right-of-Way and off of Hawthorne Blvd.
