TITLE
APPROVE CANCELLATION OF THE JULY 4, 2023 REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AND AGENCY MEETINGS AND RESCHEDULE TO JULY 11, 2023
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
It is recommended that the City Council consider the cancellation of the Regular City Council, Community Financing Authority (CFA) and Parking Authority (PA) meetings in July (scheduled for July 4, 2023) due to them falling on a scheduled holiday. The City Council meeting, along with agency meetings, would be rescheduled to be held on July 11, 2023. A third City Council meeting will be scheduled on July 25, 2023 to allow for applicant interviews to be held for appointments to the City of Redondo Beach Boards and Commissions.
BACKGROUND
The first regularly scheduled City Council, CFA and PA meetings in July 2023 fall on the 4th of July (Independence Day), a national holiday. If Council wished to choose an alternate date, it would be considered a Special meeting in which Warrants may not be approved or Ordinances adopted.
