As I was watching the council meeting tonight, I heard the people who felt it will be important to connect the new marine learning center to the ocean. I agreed. The present design is just a large building right now. What if we tweaked it into this shape? What if we put a dock jutting out in front, connecting people to water? The Yellow Submarine could take learners down in the water, and over to the seal When we were in Lisbon I fell in love with this monument to Magellan and his men.
It is in the form of a ship carrying the explorers out to sea.
