D. PRESENTATIONS/PROCLAMATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
Councilmember Nehrenheim announced the District 1 community meeting on Saturday, August 12 at Alta Vista at 9: 30 a. m. and the online community meeting will be on Monday, August 14 via Zoom at 6: 30 p. m. and congratulated the winners of the recent International Surf Festival and Medal of Valor winners.
Councilmember Loewenstein announced the District 2 community meeting will be on August 16, 2023, at 6: 00 p. m. via Zoom.
Councilmember Kaluderovic commended the City's Homeless Initiative Group for their recent help of a homeless person and spoke about participating in a ride -along with RBPD.
Councilmember Obagi reported a fire on Kingsdale and urged residents to stay away from the area.

J. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION ON NON -AGENDA ITEMS
J. 1. For eComments and Emails Received from the Public Ron Maroko spoke about a plaque and noted there has been no dedication to date and reported no staff has been selected to oversee the museum.
Brianna Egan, District 1, via Zoom, voiced support for the C -line extension, noted this project has been in the making for decades and spoke about a recent Transportation Committee meeting in the City where a " no build" recommendation was made and urged City Council to support the project; encourage Torrance to do the same; reported on the possibility of chartering a bus to attend the upcoming Metro meeting but suggested attendees ride on the Metro to attend the meeting.
Analyst Villa reported one eComment was received under this item.

CITIES ( CAL CITIES) BOARD AND OTHER AGENCIES AS NEEDED ADOPT BY TITLE ONLY RESOLUTION CC -2308- 075, RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. CC -2306- 055
APPOINTING DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES AS OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CITY FOR A TERM COMMENCING AUGUST 15, 2023 AND EXPIRING ON JUNE 30, 2024 Motion by Councilmember Nehrenheim, seconded by Councilmember Loewenstein, to appoint Councilmember Behrendt as the City's representative to Cal Cities.
Discussion followed regarding Councilmember Behrendt's availability and tabling this item until he is able to attend a City Council meeting.
Councilmember Obagi stated Councilmember Kaluderovic expressed interest in being the Cal Cities representative.
Substitute Motion by Councilmember Kaluderovic, seconded by Councilmember Loewenstein, to continue this item until August 15, 2023 when Council can receive input from Councilmember Behrendt.
Substitute, Substitute Motion by Councilmember Obagi to appoint Councilmember Kaluderovic as City Council' s representative to Cal Cities. Substitute, Substitute Motion failed for lack of a second.
The Substitute Motion carried with the following roll call vote:

Q. MAYOR AND COUNCIL REFERRALS TO STAFF
Motion by Councilmember Loewenstein, seconded by Councilmember Obagi, to place a discussion on ending campaign contributions one day before municipal elections on the agenda for one of the meetings in September. There being no objections, Mayor Brand so ordered.
Mayor Brand spoke about scheduling a discussion on the Metro project.
City Manager Witzanky suggested it occur during one of the City Council meetings in September.
Councilmember Obagi expressed interest in having a discussion on the Metro project.
Councilmember Loewenstein suggested including the biographies of Councilmembers on the City website and asked for a discussion about locating pickleball courts around the track at Aviation Park.
Motion by Councilmember Loewenstein, seconded by Councilmember Nehrenheim, to place a discussion about locating pickleball courts around the track at Aviation Park on an upcoming agenda. There being no objections, Mayor Brand so ordered.
Discussion followed regarding changes to the ordinance associated with Harbor Commission duties.
