Mayors, Councils, Planning Commissions of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Torrance:
BCHD repeatedly stated that they cost of assisted living has not been determined. Before BCHD removes 3-acres of prime Redondo Beach land from taxpayers for up to 95-years, TAXPAYERS DESERVE A FIRM COST OF SERVICE.
BCHD's initial vendor, MDS, estimated about $14,000 per month or $150,000+ per year for assisted living rent. That is far out of reach of the average taxpayer-owner of BCHD.
BCHD's new investment banker, CAIN BROS, changed the estimate to slightly over $11,000 per month or $132,000+ per year. Still far out of reach of the average taxpayer-owner of BCHD.
BCHD refuses to provide the public with FIRM FIXED information as it continues the process to seize 3-acres from taxpayers for 5 generations and hand the land over to a PRIVATE DEVELOPER.
BCHD's PUBLIC RELATIONS response (propaganda) to the TAXPAYER INQUIRY on what price will we pay?
"HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO LIVE IN THE ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY? A pricing schedule has not yet been determined, but will ultimately be consistent with prevailing market rates. One plan being considered will offer 10 percent of units at below market rates."
Apparently BCHD has never SUCCESSFULLY NEGOTIATED A
CONTRACT before. WE DON'T KNOW is not a good answer when you tying up MILLION$ in Taxpayer Assets for 95 YEARS!
